Why are they using the PotC score during the Olympics?

This gives me very bizarre images of Jack Sparrow drunkenly stumbling in, watching some gymnasts on the floor, and then saying, "But how's your foot work?"

I totally caught that too! I had to call my mom up and say 'Mum, what, exactly, do Olympiad human interest stories have to do with Pirates on the high seas?'

Apparently they have a lot to do with it. I guess the swimmers have to go so fast because if they don't, the zombie skeleton pirates will get them.
