I just...can't believe how bad that was. And there were elements that I would have LOVED...but the overall...shit? Was bad. Really, really bad.

Yeah. You have a few decent gags, and some good scenes. (Wesley's) But overall, it was pretty much utter crap. And the flashback scenes were a waste. Way to make all your characters look deeply stupid, ME.

Oh, god the flasbacks. The only good scene? Italy in the 50/60s. Ciao. That was kinda funny. The Wes stuff was interesting. But terribly misplaced in a "Comedy!" ep.

I've only read the recap (epi should arrive in another two months. GAH) and while I don't paricularly like it, there are good moments. The Illyria situation and the Spike&Angel general snarkiness (yes, I have a weakness.)

About how they handled the Buffy situation... B/Aers or not I'll go with 'WTF?' I still don't see where they are heading with it. Hence the yuckiness.

I liked the "Ciao" moments myself as well, I wonder if the writers are Eddie Izzard fans.

But for the most part, the episode was garbage. I can't believe the writers wasted one of the last few episodes on this dreck.
