in case you're wondering

When I think about La Femme Nikita (which I mentioned like YESTERDAY), I think about
nariya and our conversations about LFN.
I do not think about the CW doing a REMAKE of the show. No. FAIL.
When I first read the news I was blinded with rage.
Go make your own shitty spy show and leave the fond (and frustrated) memories of my beloved spy show ALONE, CW.

Date: 2010-01-28 06:45 am (UTC)Man, was I ever obsessed with that show. I remember they used to show reruns at 2 am and I would check every night before going to sleep to make sure there there was space on the tape and every morning to see if it had recorded. VHS, BABY! It was one heck of a messed up show, wasn't it? I still remember being, WTF when they revealed she was working for the organization in the first place. Jeez, the twists on that show.
In conclusion: NO.

Date: 2010-01-28 12:48 pm (UTC)Remaking things from the 60s and 70s, okay, that's a generation away.
Remaking things from the late 90s? Makes no sense. (I don't count their remakes of 90210 and Melrose Place, because a) they're more like continuations and b) they're not achieving the iconic/crack! status of the originals.
I'm still on a groups-of-friends mailing list that had its origins as an LFN group, and I'm off to find out -- I think one of us is still involved in Roy Dupuis fandom so maybe she'll have heard . . .

Remakes are rarely good, and they usually only get everything wrong and omg.... They're so gonna make Birkoff into a sexy high-heeled gal...
*whiiiiiiiiiiimpers*
The beauty of LFN is that it was over, done, finito. I could block, deny or watch again at will - but I didn't need to bother about a WHOLE new show on it.
Madeleine and Operations will be going at it like bunnies. On screen. Mark my words.
Dang, this is even worse than the Buffy comics.
*pout*
