Jared can't go anywhere without wearing a hat, can he? It's adorkable.

So, I tried to watch Jared's screen test, which has been uploaded to youtube and I actually had to stop, not because I didn't like what Jared was doing, actually I was blown away by how very much Sam-like he was right from the start, but because of the casting director's lines...as Dean.

OH MY GOD. The original stuff they wrote for Dean. Dean would have been a huuuuuge asshole, guys. Like, I stopped because I was just freaked out by the kind of stuff Dean was saying. Yikes.

Maybe I'll try to watch this later tongiht. But for now? Dear god. I'm amazed that Jensen Ackles figured out that Dean Winchester could be more than King Asshole.

Um, Jared you are hot and YOU WERE SO SAM. *full of pride*

If I hadn't been paying attention to the Dean-lines, I would have been so entranced by JP, he nailed Sam, makes the Paley story of Kripke saying, "That's our Sam!" after JP's audition make a hell of a lot of sense.

Sam was born the moment JP spoke. So awesome.

Man, Jensen and Jared's first meeting, the start of Ultimate Guy Love. They met when they were brought to network, if I remember the Paley Fest correctly, waiting, just the two of them. Aww.

And eeee, that moments been written about in fic many a time, but. Now I want, like, either a version where Jensen's all..."Hi, I;m Jensen, you wanna prepare?" and Jared's all, "YOU'RE FROM TX? 'MEMBER THE ALAMO??? I LIKE CANDY, DO YOU???" and Jensen rolls his eyes and tries to study his lines and when they get inside, they rock it, but Jared keeps sending him thumbs up and sly winks and shit and after Jensen's all..."GOD. You're worse than my lil sister, with the chatter and the questions and and..." and Jared's all, "So...you're picturing me as what? Your annoying little BROTHER?" and realization dawns and Jared just smirks, all triumphant.

Um. OR!

Like, they totally offered the role to Jared and have been LYING to Jensen all this time. He only THINKS he's the only one who read w/ Jared. BUT. It's really that they let Jared have a say in it and HE CHOOSE HIM!

I would write RPS to just write a length crackfic about Jared's hotel room overstuff with hatboxes and he stops midfuck to make sure that Jensen didn't knock off his ten boxes of rainbow colored hats because he HAS them in a special order.

Also, he hid his skittles there.

I'm hoping that they pull out Jensen's screen test for the S3 DVDs. Whaaat. I WANT JENSEN AS SAM. Besides the bodyswap ep that they need to do, yes.

Somehow, I sat through the audition and didn't flinch, which is odd because I sometimes have an audition/acting squick. And that right there is silly because hello, director, but... I have had crappy people audition and I get embarrassed for them? Jared however, NAILED it. HE'S SO GOOD, REG. I LOVE HIM.

I have to butt in and say YES, I have an acting embarrassment squick too! Ahaha oh my god. I thought I was the only one. I had to even watch some parts of the gag reel behind my hands, wtf.

Definitely not the only one! I also squirmed a little at some parts of the gag reel but then I remember they're such DORKS so I felt okay with it.

Me, though, it's not so good when you're working on a student film and flinching the entire time. Clearly, I ought to watch Jared auditioning over and over to, uh, get used to this. For Jared solves all problems. ;)

He was very much Sam from the beginning:) Of course Sam is Sam because of the way Jared has made him his own and I see it even more now. He's truly comfortable playing him now.

It's interesting to watch how far he's come with playing Sam but then again, I still see Sam the same way as in the screen test. He's adorable.

My thougts on JP's acting in S1 were not kind. But then I was not all SAM! *flails* until S2 happened and SPN became my sparkling show of joy and joy and joy. But um, after seeing this (part of it, still have not worked up the courage to hear the initial vision of Dean), I am IMPRESSED.

Goodness. Right there with you on the blown away, I was mildly distracted by the 'hints of stubble of cuteness' *cough* but I refocused and was so impressed.

In regards to Dean's original stuff it's possible they were going for a lot more tension between the boys. Thank god they changed because yeah, it just made Dean sound like an arsehole.

Also, Jared's Sam swears and he's not afraid to use it when he's pissed off at Dean. I like that, because not only am I apparently 5yrs old but it's an interesting glimpse at how he sees Sam.
