Aww frick.

I'm not reading media interviews before new episodes and I need to stay away from any spoilery comments.

I fucking knew this was going to be like Farscape's Meltdown, only without the steamy sexy scenes. (FYI: in Meltdown, there's a middway reveal that the 'damsel in distress' is totally dead and Stark, our crazy ass crazy who has crazied more than any crazy, makes it his mission to 'free' her to send her to her afterlife.)

Goddamit. I hate that I knew poor Molly was dead from the moment she wakes up from the accident. I'd had a feeling since the promos & then the director's clips.

*slides this ep in my 'least favorite of S2' spot*

Tricia Helfer? Was very good. And she really is beautiful.

Fuck that ending.

When I'm not dizzy and lightheaded, I'm going to have words about Dean's characterization in this episode.

It was a really bad idea for me to kind of skip dinner tonight. Ugh.

I know, right? What was that? I didn't know she was dead all along, and it made marginally more sense when I found that out, but really, really only marginally. Because no.

"Meltdown," on the other hand, is awesome. But that is probably largely due to the steamy sex scenes. I tend to forget the rest of the plot of that episode. It's just not that important.

Meltdown is one of my secret favorite episodes, even though I've had issues with every other episode written by Matt Ford (he only wrote for S3, thank God). Browder & Black's chemistry was amazing and it was deliciously cheesy-hot.

I even got a kick out of the weird ghost story vibe of Stark and the Dead Lady. But because I've thought that this episode would have the same fucking twist, I was waiting for ya know, the pace to be more than glacial or for Dean not to be a cipher AND an asshole.

I'll have to rewatch this ep with my sister Cuppy as she missed it and boy, if I can't rationalize Dean's characterization, I'm going to be pissed.

Huh, the ending actually surprised me. I definitely want to re-watch though.

Funnily enough, this is the first episode of season two that I was genuinely scared throughout.

I still need to rewatch the episode, but I think some of my dissatisfacation was that I was in a hell of a bad mood on Thursday. It even carried over on Friday, to the point where several of my coworkers picked up on it.

Meh. I'm just anxious because I have to work on Sunday and it's snowed in today and blah blah blah.

I think I would have found this scarier if I hadn't figured out that Molly was dead from the moment she woke up "after the accident."

My housemate figured it out too (I re-watched with her last night) and she wasn't scared either. While I can watch the one with the painting over and over and still be shit scared, that ep had nothing for me on a second viewing, and there was just not enough Dean. Am really quite excited about next week though.

I saw you have some pretty shitty weather. I think the snow is gonna end up over my way next week. I haven't seen snow here in over a year.
