People totally are and it is horrifying. I hate almost all smushed names (except for Spuffy for some reason, I always liked that one, although I don't really care for Bangel).

But Drose? Sounds awful.

What is with the blending? It just sounds hideous most of the time! One of the others that produces a noise of disgust from me when I've seen it recently is from Bones. Brennan/Booth = Brenth. Ugh.

One of the few fandoms where it's actually worked is Smallville, where the names smooshed together so well (Clex, Clana, Chlark) that it was sort of accepted and I wonder if those who wandered off into other fandoms thought name smooshing was the norm.

Cuz it's really not. There's a reason that male/male got nicknamed 'slash' because you slash the damn names of the coupling. Just do initials if you're that lazy. <-- is what I want to say to them.
