I'm also very amused that Martha is called a chav considering well...Rose. Rose was gloriously awesome in her chavvtastic ways.

I don't know who Martha is. We don't have any info other than what's released. And from what's released, she's awful purdy and I think her hairstyle is bitchin'. And I think her outfit is great. Cuz I'm a whore apparently.

Dude, that's so wrong. And I'm a person who throws out those words as a joke (and vice-versa: I would not be insulted if a friend called me a 'ho or 'mah bitch' good-naturally because they're stupid words). But to say that outfit shows that she's a whore, that's honestly disgusting and so reflective of that anti-women slant that fandom (which is female populated in most areas) just loves to project.

Fucking hell, how much can you hate yourself? How can you honestly defend calling out a woman for DRESSING IN CLOTHING? It's not even 'dressing normally' or 'dressing slutty' - it's just dressing in clothes.

Personally, I'm a very conservative dresser. That's just my own hang ups and that I like to be comfortable - I'm barely comfortable in a skirt tha goes past my knees - and I tend to wear sleeves that go down to my elbow. That's just how I roll.

But people, really, how can you say that a woman is slutty for dressing nicely? HOW CAN YOU DO THAT? What the fucking fuck?

I have no opinion on Martha - no hateration here, yo. The actress is very attractive, is styling her hair awesomely (I just love that look so, so much) and her leather jacket rocks.

People who are hating on her cause me to do the wonky rage face, which makes me angry and then I do Death Glare of Doom and anyone who shall look in my direction shall liquify and skeletonify a la Indiana Jones.

And while I have Opinions on Ten's new love of super duper blueberry blue, I will see how it works onscreen.

Because I'm fucking Zen like that.

As I do not have the power to bring Rose back from beyond the grave!/lumic, I can't really get too upset by it. Plus, it's many months away, even if she gets introduced in the Christmas ep, that's still like 4 months. But I think she's coming into S3 proper, so I've got a hell of a lot of time.

Her facial expressions, well, it's all the shots they chose. David Tennant's shots for Series Two look a lot different (as seen in above icon) from how he looks as the Tenth Doctor in the show itself - at least he does to me, so I'm sure Martha's going to look different once season three is underway.

Yeah, I watched Series 1 straight through The Christmas Invasion in about five days, and if it hadn't been for a) the time needed to *cough* "access" them, and b) having to work, it would've been even faster. I took about an hour to grieve for Nine and jumped straight into CIN and TCI.

Promo shots always seem to be weird and totally not how they actually are in the series anyway. I especially hope that's the case in regards to that blue suit, because yikes. Like his shoes, though, and the fact that the tie matches. :-)

I joined the Martha comm, but I don't think I clicked it to go on my default community flist. Will do that when she shows up on my computer screenon the TV.

As for Nine grieving, I didn't really experience it because I knew he was leaving, yeah. I knew about it a year in advance. I enjoyed Eccleston a hell of a lot, but David Tennant is slowly fixing as 'my' Doctor because I've know him the longest, which is kinda weird to say. And as soon as I rewatch a S1 ep, I'll remember why I totally adore Nine.

Although for me, Nine's story had to end in that sacrifice, the emotional arc of S1 was leading up to that moment. One of the reasons why I have some, hmm, problems with the S2 ending is that it wasn't handled as well, the S1 finale is elegant and graceful whereas S2 ends with anvils that left great gaping holes in my roof.

I did get my Region 1 DVD set of Doctor Who S1 - I have an extra set of S1 if you'd like to give the show a shot. It's akin to Farscape S1, although the alien costumes aren't as awesome, the emotional season long arc is excellent.

Besides, some of the shots of David Tennant's face, the stills I mean, can make for some odd expressions. Hence the weasel/otter comments from others.

That anti-woman slant displeases me so, so much. I see it in CSI fandom all the time. Say for instance you like the Grissom/Catherine pairing. Now, as Canon has it, Grissom has some kind of thing going with Sara and Catherine is hot for Warrick. And which do you think gets labelled the threat and gets all the abuse? That's right. Sara gets it. And often vice versa with Grissom/Sara shippers, going after Catherine.
