Okay, it's not about the New Companion Casting spoiler, just to let those who just clicked here to ease up.

No, it's about Captain Jack.

I just said, OUT LOUD, realizing the fanfic opportunities I shall have with Captain Jack signed on for part of S3 (John Barrowman confirmed it at a con, although he won't be on for the whole series): Oh thank God, I can write slash again.

I? Am horrible.

But I really, really miss writing slash. And I don't think I can write Nine/Jack because, besides the near impossible timeline I have to work with, I don't know if I could write anything that hasn't already been explored in other fics. I mean, I haven't even tried Nine/Rose because I just don't know if I could do it decently without it being just PG-13 UST.

But...Tenth Doctor and Captain Jack! With apparent Issues between them causing some loving angst potential and I really do think there will be just so much tension to explore...nnnggghh.

Hell yeah.

I think he said that he was showing up somewhere in the middle of S3 - from where the filming ends for Torchwood & starts for Doctor Who.

I don't know if he's in the Christmas Special, though.

Really? Jack's gonna be back on Who? Joooyyyyyy. That little fangirl that exists in the back of my head is jumping up and down and dancing like a boOb in sheer delight.

Nine/Rose/Jack is my shiny OT3, the only problem is the constraint on the timeline. The last three episodes have no play in them, and it's not like there's that much between Doctor Dances and Boomtown either.

But yes! The annnngst between Ten and Jack. It is to love.

Apparently so from what John Barrowman's said. He said he signed a contract for S3 and that, for me, is v. good because that means at least several episodes.

Also, Jack's outfit for Torchwood looks awesome indeed. There was a clip of it on the last DW Confidential for Army of Ghosts.

Nine/Rose/Jack is canon and my mind is blown and happy for it. There really isn't a lot of wiggle room, I always take the Kiss(es) in The Parting of the Ways to be the first time Jack's kissed either of them.

God, I love that moment. It was perfect.

There is an awful lot of Nine/Jack out there. There's even a Doctor/Rose/Jack community better_with_3. Now they keep talking about the 'surprise companion' for the Christmas special. At this point the only thing that will surprise the shippers is if Captain Jack isn't in it.

John did say Jack isn't too pleased with being left behind by the Doctor so we should get some squeeful angst out of the pairing as a whole.

Ten's oral fixation/Jack's "flexibility" could be a new OTP...

I have better with 3 friended. It's why I'm not writing it or rather why I'm not inspired to write OT3 or Nine/Jack, there's already so much out there. How much can I really add to it?

Jack being not pleased means angst. I work well with angst. I loved putting dark edges to Remus/Sirius and this just makes me smile a lot.

(I was pretty sure Jack was coming back for at least part of season 3 -- please more than one or two episodes, thanks, please. And I was happy about that just because of JACK! But I can so easily see Ten/Jack, especially with angst over them leaving him behind in TPOTW and then also possibly emo bonding over the loss of Rose . . . oh. I am all twitterpated.)

I think Jack will be back for more that two eps. Not for all of S3, but I'm hoping he'll be there for a nice while. And that he'll be naked...sorry, no, that's Torchwood.

Oh yeah.

Apparently John Barrowman also said at the Con that he'll be nekkid in an ep of Torchwood.

Do you not pay attention to lj spoiler warnings?

I'm not quite sure what this means, but . . . well, I sort of get Doctor Who spoilers through osmosis. It's very odd. (Almost made an ood joke there, sorry.) Mostly, I just don't want to know what happens on Saturday, but end up getting the gist of the rest. And I did click on that new casting spoiler, partly because someone made an annoying and vague post about it, but also because it's not like I didn't know there'd be a new companion.

Anyway, what was I talking about?

Oh, yes, JACK! Oh, I do hope it will be for a nice while. That will ease my pain, well, so very little, but some.

I love John Barrowman so much, it's not even funny. I'll even forgive him dong the "How Do You Solve a Problem Like Maria?" reality show.

GOD, I hope he's nekkid. That would be FANTASTIC. Yes, our ratings figures *did* just go up . . .
