On music, gambling, and icons

I am extremely excited for on the 20th, I shall be cheering <lj site="livejournal.com" user="alleynyc"> while she and her band play at <a href="http://www.bitterend.com/"<a>the Bitter End</a>.
And I get to see her perform! Yay!
I'm not a people-person, as my hermit-like existence would attest to. However, I do love hanging out with people, as it's so rare. Poor <lj site="livejournal.com" user="nariya"> can attest to this, if she isn't careful, I'm going to totally steal her one day.
Anyways, this morning (and wow, was I not in a good mood. One of my eyes had gone all red and I was worried it was the start of pink eye, which it thankfully wasn't), my mother notices that I have 'NYC' marked on the calendar. She then tells me I can't go, because I have to watch after the Cuppy, as she and my dad are going to Atlantic City.
I 'kindly' informed her that I told her a month ago about this and there is no way I'm missing it.
And then, she mentioned that Cuppy's probably going to sleep over my grandparent's (on the boat, they put the boat in the water, <lj site="livejournal.com" user="nariya">!), so it was just pointless drama.
My mom rules the pointless drama, yo.
And now I ask of my friendlist (or heck, even a stranger, I love strangers!) to pick any of my <a href="http://www.livejournal.com/allpics.bml?user=regala_electra"<a>icons</a> and ask me to write a drabble on it.
C'mon, it'll be fun.
