Stump the Writer!

A -- Go to the list of my fic here and pick out three lines from one of my stories.
B -- I will respond with which story of mine I think it's from.
C -- A ficlet to anyone who stumps me.

It will probably be easy to stump me. As I'm fighting off the doom of writer block that might be a good thing. Also that master post of fic probably has some wonky formatting issues and isn't updated with my last two fics (Patina & nothing seems to let me go) but other than that it's pretty damn comprehensive.

But please, go play. I need a spark of creativity to jumpstart me. I had to chuck over 1,000 words of fic and now I'm starting at this new angle without any of idea of how it'll be received. (Why? Because it's weird and written from the dreaded original character POV. Gyah.)

She plays with a strand of dyed blonde hair. She’d look better as a brunette. “Don’t Fear the Reaper.”

He thinks of some wild student exploring the tight space of a classroom, dancing around with a cowbell, and he can’t help but laugh deeply. Asks if she really did let him start up again.

What if, she thought, and if was released, maybe she'd turn around, and there it would be, waiting for her, like always, and she clap hands together, and yes, there would be joy, and peace, and in the end, a sacred silence.

He leans towards her, not wanting to say anything and she goes all still, holding the side of the counter for dear life. He knows, in that moment, what’ll happen and it doesn’t surprise him at all. No surprise when she leans upwards and he bends down and they meet somewhere in the middle and she tastes like coffee and beer, familiar and home-cooked food and fried sweet bananas, caramelized just right, which is something he’s never quite tasted before, not in this way.
